National Bank of Kuwait's new headquarters building crowned with gold

The new landmark on the “Belt and Road”, the new headquarters building of the National Bank of Kuwait, has been capped. Our company provided 600 tons of American standard H-shaped steel to China State Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. for the project and provided high-quality services for the project on schedule. At the end of 2014, we received the material purchase order for the National Bank of Kuwait project from China State Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. We have had more than half a year to prepare for the project. The customer has revised the material list several times. After the efforts of the team, we won the project in the competition and successfully signed the contract with China State Construction Steel Structure Jiangsu Co., Ltd. We provided nearly 600 tons of American standard H-shaped steel ASTM materials. Most of them are imported materials. The customer's requirements for delivery time and quality are fully met. On April 29, 2017, as the last steel beam slowly rose into the air, the main steel structure of the new headquarters building of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), a new landmark on the “Belt and Road”, jointly constructed by China State Construction Steel Structure and China State Construction Middle East Co., Ltd., was successfully capped, marking the end of the steel structure project of the project. The Middle East is located at the intersection of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" and the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", and Kuwait City, as the pearl of the Persian Gulf, is also a key link in the "Belt and Road" strategy that connects the east and the west. The new headquarters building of the National Bank of Kuwait is located in the heart of the financial district of Kuwait City. It is currently the largest and tallest super-high-rise building with a single steel structure in Kuwait. The building form is a pearl shell-shaped overall space curved surface tilting system. The structural form is a concrete core tube with a reinforced layer + a giant steel frame composite structure, which is difficult to build. The total investment of the project is about US$480 million, the construction area is about 126,000 square meters, the main tower is 306 meters high, the total steel structure volume reaches 25,000 tons, strictly implements American standards, fully considers the building's energy-saving and environmental protection performance, and is committed to creating Kuwait's first LEED Gold Award green building. After completion, it will become a new landmark in Kuwait. It is reported that since the steel structure of the project was hoisted, the project department has insisted on scientific work deployment, overall project management, and reasonable production organization, actively overcoming the difficulties of regional differences, cultural conflicts, and bad weather in the Middle East, and constantly breaking through the difficulties of design changes, technical coordination, and construction operations. After thousands of days of hard work, it ensured that the construction period was fulfilled as scheduled and established a good image of Chinese construction. Our cooperation with China Construction Steel Structure will start a tacit, fruitful and long-term cooperation from now on.
